Press The short version.
Take any of this verbatim.
Dirtbag Studio makes the Living Canvas: a slim wooden board with a recycled PVC pocket on the front that holds a real plant and 1.8 litres of substrate. It hangs by a slot near its top on one wall hook, and lifts straight off whenever the wall needs to change.
Every pocket is cut from a PVC banner that advertised something in Barcelona and was taken down when the event ended. The material was engineered to survive months of sun and rain on a lamppost, which is exactly what a planter needs and exactly why throwing it away was always the wrong end for it. No two pockets carry the same weave, ink or wear.
