Barcelona, ES Est. 2026 We ran out of floor.
Dirtbag Studio started on a Barcelona balcony that could not take one more pot. The plants kept coming. The floor gave out. The walls were just standing there.
Plants, recycling, walls Scroll Three friends, one canvas So we built a canvas that lets a wall do what a shelf does: hold something alive. Real soil, a pocket cut from the city’s retired banners, and nothing to prove except that a room breathes better with a plant in it.
How it comes together
Four steps to a living wall.
- 01 One screw
- 02 The board
- 03 The pocket
- 04 It lives
It starts embarrassingly small. One hook, level, at the height you choose. Every garden needs a foundation. Ours fits in your palm.
01
One screw
02
The board
A birch board with sixteen holes for hooks. Drawn like a building, built like furniture.
03
The pocket
One piece of recycled PVC holding 1.8 litres of real soil, about what a 15 cm pot takes. Banner yesterday, garden tomorrow.
04
It lives
You add the plant. From that day the canvas is never finished, which is the point.
Why we make it
Every blank wall is an unplanted garden.
Our mission is simple to say and slow to finish: bring plants onto the walls of living rooms, offices, hotels, every room in every building with a spare metre of vertical space. Plants make oxygen, soften air and sound, take the edge off a hard day, and catch the eye like nothing printed ever will.

The pocket has a past life.
Every pocket is cut from the city’s retired PVC banners together with Demano, a Barcelona studio that has been giving them a second life since 1999. No two pockets start from the same square metre of city.
